The following day, your girlfriend approaches her boss.

“John? Uhhhh… I have something I need to ask you. Kind of a favor…”

“What is it, Rachel?”

“Weeellllll… I am in this small play near where I live and a couple of the male actors quit suddenly. We found one person to step in, but are struggling to find the lead male role. And I know you do plays in the summer and… think you might be interested?”

“Well yeah, Rachel. What part do you play?”

“I play the female lead.”

“Oh. Okay. What kind of play is this?”

“It’s a spin on The Taming of the Shrew.”

“Ahhh. I like Shakespeare. How long and how often do we rehearse? And how long does the show run?”

“The show is scheduled for four weeks, Tuesday to Sunday. The playhouse is closed on Mondays. Rehearsals everyday except Mondays for six weeks.”

“Oh. That’s quite a commitment. Why so many rehearsals?”

“Mark, the director, thought because we lost a month of rehearsal time, we needed to add more days.”

“Okay. So what’s the spin on Shakespeare’s story?”

“It has sex scenes in it.”

“Oh. I see. What do the sex scenes entail?”

“He wants us to be completely naked on stage before and after the scenes, but we get to cover up under the sheets as we ‘roll around’ with each other for most of it.”

“So you and I would be naked under the sheets for these ‘sex’ scenes? What does Ross think about you asking me?”

“He’s the one who suggested it!”

“Hmmm… Okay! I’ll do it! Just don’t get any ideas about me at work, okay?” John says in a light-hearted joking tone.

“Oh thank you! Thank you! Thank you! You won’t regret this! We are gonna have so much fun acting together! I just know it!”
